Job summary

Performance Foodservice is seeking a Shuttle Driver to support the company’s distribution network. The role involves transporting empty trailers to warehouse locations and delivering full trailers to domicile/shuttle yards, following DOT rules and safety standards.

You will engage with customers and coworkers professionally while turning around trailers on intrastate and interstate routes. The position emphasizes safety, punctuality, and teamwork, with a third-shift schedule (Sunday–Thursday).

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 6+ months of commercial driving experience.
• Valid CDL A with Doubles Endorsement.
• Must be 21 years of age.
• Clean MVR for past 3 years.
• Third shift schedule, Sunday–Thursday nights.
• Pre-employment drug test required.
• Road test required.
• DOT Health Card current or able to secure one.
• Ability to lift 60–90 pounds and handle product cases.

Responsibilities

• Performs safety checks pre/post trip per DOT regulations.
• Reports safety issues and required repairs.
• Follows DOT regulations and company safety guidelines.
• Ensures route paperwork is available with the load.
• Drives and delivers trailers according to schedule.
• Performs hook/unhook procedures safely.
• Parks and secures tractor trailers in designated areas.
• Collects damaged goods and returns for processing.
• Unloads equipment and removes trash as needed.
• Completes daily hours-of-service logs per regulations.
