Job summary

Performance Food Group is looking for a Shuttle Driver to move empty trailers between Operating Company locations and deliver full trailers to domicile/shuttle yards. The role emphasizes DOT compliance, safety, and timely execution.

You will operate tandem/tractor/trailer on intrastate and interstate routes, perform inspections, and maintain accurate logs. 3rd shift Sunday–Thursday nights; starting pay $75,000–$85,000 with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent required.
• 12 months commercial driving experience preferred.
• Valid CDL A with Doubles Endorsement.
• Must be 21 years of age.
• Clean MVR for past 3 years.
• Pass pre-employment drug test, pass road test, and obtain DOT Health Card.
• Work 3rd shift, Sunday–Thursday nights.
• Able to lift 60–90 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Perform safety checks (pre/post trip) on tractor/trailer per DOT rules.
• Report safety issues and required repairs.
• Follow DOT regulations and company safety guidelines; report hazards.
• Inspect trailers for proper loading and secure freight.
• Ensure route paperwork is ready for dispatch and accompanies load.
• Drive and deliver trailers according to schedule; hook/unhook safely.
• Park and store tractors/trailers in designated areas.
• Secure equipment and freight; manage damaged goods and returns.
• Complete daily hours-of-service logs and keep area clean.
