Job summary

Performance Foodservice is seeking a Shuttle Driver to transport empty trailers, then turn around to deliver full trailers to domicile/shuttle yard locations. You will operate tractors and trailers on intrastate/interstate routes, adhering to DOT regulations and safety standards.

Interact professionally with customers, vendors and colleagues to answer questions promptly. Responsibilities include safety inspections, documentation, route execution, and daily hours of service log entries.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Clean Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) for past 3 years.
• Pass pre-employment drug test and road test.
• Valid DOT Health Card or able to secure one.

Responsibilities

• Perform safety checks on tractor/truck and trailer per DOT regulations.
• Report safety issues and required repairs.
• Follow DOT regulations and company safety guidelines during driving.
• Maintain route paperwork with dispatch and ensure secure freight.
• Drive, deliver trailers on schedule and manage hook/unhook procedures.
• Complete daily hours-of-service logs per federal/state requirements.
• Keep equipment and trailers clean and perform related duties as assigned.
