Job summary

Performance Foodservice is seeking a Shuttle Driver to transport trailers and support our food distribution network. The role involves moving empty trailers to yard locations and turning around to deliver full trailers, all while adhering to DOT regulations and safety procedures.

The position requires 12 months of driving experience, a valid CDL A with doubles endorsement, and a 3rd shift schedule (Sunday-Thursday). Training will cover safety checks and routing paperwork.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent.
• 12 months of commercial driving experience.
• Valid CDL A with Doubles Endorsement.
• Must be 21 years of age.
• Meet all State licensing and/or certification requirements.
• Clean MVR for past 3 years.
• Work required 3rd shift schedule, Sunday-Thursday nights.
• Pass pre-employment drug test.
• Pass road test.
• Valid DOT Health Card or able to secure one.
• Able to lift 60–90 pounds and operate lifting equipment.

Responsibilities

• Drive tandem tractor/trailer or straight truck on intrastate and interstate routes.
• Transport empty trailers to operating company facilities and deliver full trailers to yard locations.
• Perform safety checks pre/post trip and report any issues.
• Maintain route paperwork and logs per DOT and company rules.
• Unhook, park, and secure trailers; keep equipment clean and organized.
• Complete daily hours-of-service records and follow safety guidelines.
