Job summary

UAB Medicine's 7 North Cardiology Stepdown and Intermediate Care Unit is seeking a dedicated RN for night shifts (7:00 PM–7:00 AM, Sat/Sun). The unit provides specialized care for post-procedure cardiac patients in a 23-bed setting, with close telemetry, medication management, and expert nursing interventions.

Qualifications

BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date.
Licensed Associate Professional Registered Nurse credentialed from the Alabama Board of Nursing prior to hire date.

Responsibilities

Provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies and procedures.
Implement and monitor patient care plans; monitor, record and communicate patient condition.
Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
Assess and coordinate patient's discharge planning needs with the healthcare team.
