Job summary

UAB Medicine is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse for the 7 North Cardiology Stepdown and Intermediate Care Unit. The role covers 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, Saturdays and Sundays, at UAB St. Vincents East.

You will provide direct nursing care, monitor patients, coordinate multidisciplinary care, and support discharge planning for high-risk cardiac patients. Required licensure as an Alabama-licensed Registered Nurse, a nursing diploma, and BLS/ACLS certifications.

Qualifications

• Licensure/certification/registration required before start date.
• Licensed Associate Professional Registered Nurse credential in Alabama.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care according to policies and procedures.
• Implement and monitor patient care plans; monitor and document condition.
• Serve as primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated care.
• Assess and coordinate discharge planning needs with the healthcare team.
