Job summary

UAB Medicine in Alabama is seeking a compassionate registered nurse for the 7 North Cardiology Stepdown and Intermediate Care Unit. This night shift (7:00 PM–7:00 AM) on Saturdays and Sundays offers telemetry-driven care for post-procedural and high-risk cardiac patients.

You will implement care plans, coordinate multidisciplinary care, and assist with discharge planning while adhering to ACLS/BCLS guidelines and hospital policies. A Diploma in Nursing and Alabama RN licensure are required.

Qualifications

• BLS within 30 days of hire date or job transfer date required (ACLS accepted).
• Licensed Associate Professional Registered Nurse credentialed from the Alabama Board of Nursing required prior to hire date or job transfer date.
• Diploma from an accredited nursing program and active licensure at time of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care per unit policies and protocols.
• Implement and monitor patient care plans; monitor and communicate patient status.
