RWJBarnabas Health seeks a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Cardiac Post CTICU at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center. This full-time night position offers a challenging environment where teamwork, safety, and clinical excellence guide patient care. Night shift and every other weekend required.

Qualifications

• Active New Jersey Registered Nurse license in good standing or Multistate RN License with NJ Endorsement.
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification.
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing is strongly preferred.
• Prior patient care experience and comfort with EMR systems (EPIC).
• Experience with cardiac post-CTICU patient population preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and recognize subtle clinical changes, intervening early as needed.
• Provide safe, evidence-based medications, treatments, and hands-on care.
• Serve as a clinical partner to physicians and providers for coordinated care decisions.
• Educate patients and families clearly and compassionately for next care steps.
• Document accurately and timely in the EMR to ensure continuity and safety.
• Contribute to interdisciplinary rounds and collaborative care transitions.
• Promote ongoing professional growth through education and clinical ladder opportunities.
