Job summary

RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Medical-Surgical Unit-I at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center in Newark, NJ. This night-shift role offers growth, teamwork, and a strong focus on patient safety and quality outcomes.

The RN will perform comprehensive assessments, administer care, document in EPIC, and collaborate with physicians to ensure timely, coordinated treatment for post-cardiac cath and assorted procedures within a dynamic hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Active NJ RN license in good standing; Multistate license with NJ endorsement acceptable.
• BLS certification required.
• Experience with EPIC EMR systems preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and recognize clinical changes.
• Administer evidence-based medications and treatments.
• Collaborate with physicians and providers for timely, coordinated care.
• Educate patients and families clearly and compassionately.
• Document accurately in the EMR to support safety and continuity.
• Participate in rounds and interdisciplinary team discussions.
