RWJBarnabas Health in Newark is seeking a Cardio Thoracic ICU Registered Nurse for full-time daytime shifts at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center. The role focuses on high-quality, interdisciplinary care, patient assessment, medication administration, and active participation in rounds.

Requirements include an active NJ RN license, BLS, ACLS within 120 days, ASN required with BSN preferred, and at least 1 year of hospital experience. Proficiency with EPIC EMR is expected.

Qualifications

• Active New Jersey RN license in good standing
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification; ACLS within 120 days of hire
• CCR N is preferred
• EMR experience with EPIC is required or strongly preferred
• 1 year hospital experience preferred
• ASN required; BSN preferred

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and recognize clinical changes
• Administer medications and treatments safely and evidence-based
• Collaborate with physicians and advanced providers for timely care decisions
• Provide clear patient and family education for ongoing care
• Document accurately in the EMR to ensure continuity and safety
• Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and care transitions
