Job summary

Insomnia Cookies is hiring Shift Leaders for our Silver Spring, MD location. You will be the captain of our bakery during shifts, leading baking, serving guests, and driving night-time sales to meet demand.

Responsibilities include supervising operations, delegating tasks, coaching team members, and ensuring safety and quality. Must have 1+ year in customer service, POS experience, and be 18+ with eligibility to work in the United States.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of customer service experience.
• Point of Sale systems experience.
• Outstanding communication and time management skills.
• Outgoing, friendly, patient demeanor.
• Detail-focused and results-oriented.
• Ability to lead by example and motivate others.
• Able to lift up to 40 lbs.
• Legally eligible to work in the United States.
• Must be 18 years or older to be employed.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service and quality products to guests in our bakeries.
• Support store leadership by maintaining operations during your shift and training team members.
• Delegate tasks for baking, cashiering, packaging, and cleaning while leading the cookie crew.
• Support and work alongside the Cookie Crew.
• Maintain a safe, clean working environment and follow food safety practices.
• Manage cash handling and deposits.
