Job summary

MDS Staffing is seeking Production Supervisors for a bakery operation in Rocky Mount, NC. This full-time, on-site role leads a team of 15–25 and oversees daily production, staffing, and shift handoffs to meet safety, quality, and output goals.

Candidates will coach and develop staff, ensure GMPs and food safety, partner with maintenance and QA, and drive continuous improvement. Multiple shifts available with a competitive base salary and benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising production in food manufacturing; bakery or frozen food experience preferred.
• Proven ability to lead employees, manage performance and accountability.
• Working knowledge of food safety, GMPs, and manufacturing operations.
• Strong communication, organization and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to work the assigned shift and support production scheduling needs.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily production activities, staffing, and shift assignments.
• Coach, train, and develop employees while setting clear expectations.
• Maintain food safety, quality, sanitation, and workplace safety standards.
• Monitor production performance, address downtime, and improve efficiency.
• Partner with maintenance, quality, and other departments to resolve issues.
• Communicate priorities and ensure effective shift handoffs.
