Job summary

Schwan's Bakery Maintenance role in Salina, KS offers a starting pay of $25.00 per hour with an additional $2.00 shift differential for hours between 3 p.m. and 6 a.m. This is a full-time position in a food manufacturing environment with opportunities for advancement.

You will perform preventive and corrective maintenance on production equipment, follow food safety protocols, handle emergency repairs, manage spare parts, and maintain a clean, safe workspace in line with OSHA requirements.

Qualifications

• Read and interpret safety documents and maintenance procedures.
• Ability to complete work orders and document in the computer.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Two-year degree in a specialized maintenance trade preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on conveyors, mixers, ovens, and packaging machines.
• Follow food-safety rules and use proper cleaning procedures and food-grade materials.
• Handle emergency repairs to minimize downtime.
• Manage spare parts and tools inventory for timely repairs or upgrades.
• Work safely and keep the area compliant with OSHA and company rules.
