Job summary

Maker's Pride in North Sioux City, SD, seeks a Maintenance Technician to support production by installing, repairing and maintaining manufacturing equipment. You will drive continuous, efficient and safe operation aligned with food safety regulations and customer expectations.

The role requires troubleshooting, documenting work, performing root cause analyses and collaborating with management to improve PM tasks and processes while following safety and LOTO rules.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred but not required.
• Regular attendance and reliability.
• Ability to read, write, count and identify numbers, letters, colors, symbols.
• Basic mathematics and willingness to learn computer skills on the production floor.
• 1 year of maintenance/mechanic experience in manufacturing.
• Electrical and Electrical Motor experience preferred.
• Willing to work night shift, overtime and weekends.
• Must follow Food Safety Procedures and wear PPE and LOTO.
• Ability to communicate effectively with all team levels.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair and maintain production/facility equipment to ensure smooth operation.
• Perform unscheduled repairs and planned maintenance as assigned.
• Complete shift work orders within established timelines.
• Document work orders and logs for tracking and audits.
• Perform root cause analysis on equipment failures.
• Use CMMS for inventory search, work orders and related tasks.
• Collaborate with operators and management to improve PM tasks and processes.
• Adhere to 5S, safety procedures and keep area clean.
• Monitor for contamination and maintain safe working conditions.
