Job summary

UPS is seeking a reliable Journeyman Automotive Technician to join its fleet maintenance team. The role focuses on diagnosing and repairing light- to medium-duty vehicles, including gasoline engines, with emphasis on drivability, electrical systems, and engine controls.

Qualified candidates have strong hands-on repair experience, ASE certifications preferred, and the ability to work a night shift. Union environments and comprehensive benefits are noted in the posting.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of recent experience diagnosing and repairing light- to medium-duty automotive vehicles.
• Ability to meet D.O.T requirements as applicable to the job.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Willing to work night shift (5:00 p.m. – 1:30 a.m.), Monday–Friday.

Responsibilities

• Meets D.O.T requirements required by job assignment.
• Bends, stoops, squats, kneels, crawls, climbs ladders and stairs, stands, walks, and turns/pivots frequently throughout the workday.
• Sits infrequently, as required, throughout the workday.
• Operates standard and manual transmission.
• Operates power and pneumatic tools.
