Job summary

UPS in Columbus, Nebraska, seeks a Journeyman Automotive Technician to maintain, diagnose, and repair UPS package delivery vehicles and light- to medium-duty fleet trucks. Strong focus on gasoline engines, electrical systems, brakes, steering, and engine controls.

DOT compliance and safety are emphasized. Candidates should have 3+ years of hands-on experience in a dealership, fleet, municipal, or independent repair setting, with ASE certifications preferred.

Qualifications

• Extensive hands-on experience diagnosing and repairing light- to medium-duty automotive vehicles.
• Strong diagnostic capabilities in gasoline engine systems and drivability concerns.
• Experience with electrical troubleshooting and using diagnostic equipment.

Responsibilities

• Meet DOT requirements as assigned.
• Perform maintenance, diagnosis, and repair of UPS fleet vehicles and light- to medium-duty trucks.
• Operate standard and manual transmissions and power tools.
