Job summary

UPS is seeking a reliable Journeyman Technician to join our fleet maintenance team. This Automotive Technician will maintain a diverse range of equipment, including delivery vehicles, heavy-duty on-road tractors, and trailers from various manufacturers. The role involves troubleshooting hydraulic brakes, electrical systems, and engine controls, with shifts including nights 7:00 p.m.

Qualifications

• Current documented Journeyman Mechanic experience.
• Experience using diagnostic equipment, scan tools and personal computer.
• Dependable with reliable attendance and punctuality.
• Able to work varying shifts and overtime as needed.
• Wears PPE and follows safety protocols.
• Works well in a diverse team and communicates effectively.

Responsibilities

• Meets D.O.T requirements for the job assignment.
• Maintains a diverse fleet including delivery vehicles, heavy-duty tractors, and trailers.
• Troubleshoots hydraulic brakes, air brakes, electrical systems and engine controls.
• Operates standard and manual transmissions and power tools.
• Reports to work regularly and completes scheduled tasks.
