Job summary

UPS is seeking an Automotive Mechanic to maintain a fleet of delivery vehicles, heavy-duty tractors, and trailers across multiple manufacturers. You will troubleshoot and service hydraulic brakes, electrical systems, and engine controls, with DOT compliance and safety as top priorities.

The role requires night shifts (7:00 p.m. – 4:00 a.m.), valid driver’s license, and tools. CDL preferred. Union considerations and weekly pay benefits may apply where relevant.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of automotive mechanic experience with medium/heavy-duty vehicles.
• Experience using diagnostic equipment, scan tools and PCs.
• Experience working on diesel, gas and CNG systems.
• DOT inspections experience preferred or required.

Responsibilities

• Meet DOT requirements for the job assignment.
• Perform maintenance and repairs on a fleet of vehicles including delivery trucks and heavy-duty tractors.
• Use hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment as needed.
• Work varying shifts, including night shift, and report to work reliably.
