Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Healthcare or Business Administration is preferred.
• 3 years experience within Patient Access or a business office setting.
• Experience with insurance eligibility systems.
• 3 years utilization of medical terminology in a job setting.
• Knowledge of CPT and ICD coding and medical terminology.
• Basic knowledge of insurance and managed care payors.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients during on-site registration and arrival process.
• Collect accurate demographic and insurance information and patient liability at service time.
• Perform financial clearance functions on assigned accounts.
• Greet patients professionally to promote positive encounters.
