Job summary

Pine Street Inn in Boston is seeking a Guest Services Specialist to help maintain a safe shelter environment and actively assist guests with housing pathways and resource connections.

You will coordinate with housing and health services, document in HMIS, and respond to guest needs with professionalism, even during demanding situations. This is a 40-hour, site-based role with weather-emergency relevance.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of one year of experience in the Human Services field required.
• Valid MA driver’s license preferred, bilingual English/Spanish a plus.

Responsibilities

• Ensure a safe shelter environment for guests and staff.
• Assist with housing pathways and motivate guests to pursue housing options.
• Connect guests to substance abuse, mental health and medical resources when needed.
• Enter data into the HMIS system and document reports per agency policy.
