Job summary

Pine Street Inn is seeking a Guest Services Specialist to support shelter operations at 1 Lingard Street, Dorchester, MA. This role focuses on direct guest care, prompt responses to guest needs, and facilitating connections to housing and community resources. The position is site-based and essential during weather emergencies.

The role requires a High School diploma or GED and at least one year in human services. Bilingual English/Spanish and a MA driver’s license are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• Minimum of one year of experience in the Human Services field is required.
• Preferred: Valid MA driver's license in good standing.
• Preferred: Bilingual English/Spanish.

Responsibilities

• Ensure a safe shelter environment for guests and staff.
• Respond to guests promptly and professionally based on needs prioritization.
• Assist in developing housing pathways and connect guests to resources.
• Assist guests with connections to substance abuse, mental health, and medical services when needed.
• Enter data into the HMIS system and document reports per agency policy.
