Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking an Overnight Security Shift Supervisor for the Suffolk, VA area. You will supervise and coordinate the delivery of security services on a night shift from 11pm to 6am, acting as a liaison among site leadership and officers.

The role emphasizes supervising staff, providing coaching, recognition, and discipline within approved guidelines, with a strong focus on customer service and crisis handling at client sites.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years of age.
• High School Diploma or equivalent or 5 years verifiable experience.
• Effective written and oral communication and interpersonal skills with all levels of personnel and the public; able to use initiative and judgment.
• Must frequently prepare written reports and logs in neat handwriting.
• Must read and understand operating procedures and instructions.
• Licensing requirements may be required by state/local laws.
• Driving positions require a valid driver's license, clean record, and insurance as per policy; ability to operate a vehicle.
• Background check and post-offer drug/alcohol test may be required.
• Intermediate computer skills to use wireless technology at client sites.
• Ability to handle both common and crisis situations calmly and effectively.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and coordinate service delivery on a specific shift at the assigned site.
• Serve as liaison between site supervisor, Account Manager, and officers.
• Supervise staff on shift, providing coaching, recognition and discipline within empowerment range.
