Job summary

Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in Boston, MA seeks a Security Officer to protect people and property on a Monday–Friday night schedule (11pm–7am) with an overnight differential. Under supervision, you will perform patrols, handle emergencies, and prepare detailed incident reports while delivering courteous service to patients and staff.

The role requires a high school diploma (bachelor’s preferred) and at least 1 year in security, with certifications in CPR/AED/First Aid, Narcan, and de-escalation

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 1 year of security experience preferred.
• Multi-language skills a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide protection through patrol, investigations, and surveillance.
• Deliver high-level customer service to patients, visitors, and staff.
• Respond to emergencies and assist with potentially violent individuals.
• Conduct investigations and gather evidence; prepare reports and logs.
• Perform inspections, fire drills, and escorts as assigned.
• Cross-train for off-site locations and special duties.
