Job summary

Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in Boston seeks a Security Officer to provide onsite protection on Saturdays and Sundays from 11pm to 7am. Under supervision, you will patrol, monitor alarms and cameras, respond to emergencies, and support patients, staff and visitors with professional, courteous service.

You will conduct investigations, prepare reports, and may be cross-trained for special duties at various sites.

Qualifications

• High school diploma; bachelor's degree preferred.
• 1 year of relevant security experience.
• Multi-language skills a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide emergency response and protect people and property.
• Patrol buildings and grounds; identify unsafe conditions.
• Deliver professional customer service to patients, visitors and staff.
• Prepare written reports and logs of incidents.
• Respond to emergencies; assist with violent patients; detain suspects.
• May be assigned to special duties and off-site locations; cross-trained.
• Attend fire drills and conduct extinguisher inspections.
