Job summary

Advocate Health in High Point, NC is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist to join the Respiratory Therapy Services department. The role is full-time, night shift, with a $20,000 sign-on bonus for eligible candidates.

You will provide respiratory therapies, initiate and monitor ventilation, and ensure patient safety through NBRC standards and hospital policies. Must be RRT, NC license, BLS; PALS/NRP and ACLS within 90 days.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an AMA approved two or four-year program for respiratory care or satisfies NBRC eligibility for registry examinations.
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) by NBRC and licensed to practice as an RCP in North Carolina.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required; PALS/NRP within 90 days; ACLS within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory therapies following age-appropriate standards and departmental policies.
• Initiate and maintain mechanical ventilation and airway support.
• Report routine procedures to relief personnel to ensure continuity of care.
• Perform and maintain competency for point-of-care testing as assigned.
• Provide invasive and non-invasive monitoring for patient safety and care quality.
• Maintain knowledge and participate in quality improvement initiatives.
