Job summary

Atrium Health seeks a dedicated Respiratory Therapist in High Point, NC, for night shift coverage. The role delivers respiratory therapies, initiates and maintains ventilation, and ensures coordination with relief staff to sustain high-quality patient care.

Requirements include NBRC/NC licensure, BLS, and timely completion of PALS/NRP and ACLS within defined windows. This position offers a sign-on bonus and relocation assistance to eligible candidates.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an AMA approved respiratory care program or NBRC-eligible per NBRC requirements.
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) and NC license required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
• PALS and NRP required within 90 days of employment.
• ACLS required within 90 days of employment for adults.

Responsibilities

• Promote a cooperative work environment through communication and teamwork.
• Provide respiratory therapies following age-appropriate standards and policies.
• Initiate and manage mechanical ventilation and airway support.
• Report routine clinical procedures to relief personnel to ensure continuity of care.
• Perform and maintain competency for point-of-care testing and ensure compliance with policies.
• Provide invasive and non-invasive monitoring to ensure patient safety and care quality.
• Maintain professional knowledge and pursue QA to enhance service.
• Ensure age-appropriate patient care per Age-Specific guidelines.
