Job summary

Your Talent Team in Winston-Salem, NC is seeking a Roadway / Utility Superintendent for night operations on highway and utility projects. You will lead crews, coordinate schedules and ensure safety on every shift.

This role requires 5+ years in heavy civil with night DOT work; requires reading plans, traffic control knowledge, valid license, and willingness to relocate to the Triad area if needed.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in heavy civil roadway/underground utility as superintendent or senior foreman.
• Proven night-work experience on DOT projects.
• Ability to read plans and specs and track quantities.
• Knowledge of work zone traffic control.
• Valid driver's license.
• NCDOT project experience is a plus.
• OSHA 30 or HCSS HeavyJob experience is a plus.
• Based in the Triad or willing to relocate to Winston-Salem.

Responsibilities

• Run night shift field operations on roadway and utility projects.
• Lead roadway, grading and underground utility crews and foremen.
• Schedule subcontractors, equipment and material deliveries; manage shift-by-shift schedule.
• Own jobsite safety, toolbox talks and OSHA compliance on every shift.
• Set up and manage traffic control and lane closures during night work.
• Coordinate with NCDOT inspectors and project engineers.
• Track installed quantities and daily production; complete daily reports and field documentation.
• Coordinate handoffs with the project manager and day-side team.
