Job summary

Newark Beth Israel Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Pediatric Float Pool (NICU/PICU/Peds). The role supports pediatric patients across subspecialties with a focus on evidence-based care and compassionate family education.

The RN will work nights, 36 hours per week, with a strong emphasis on teamwork, documentation, and continuous professional growth within RWJBarnabas Health’s pediatric services.

Qualifications

• Active New Jersey RN license in good standing and BLS required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and recognize clinical changes.
• Provide safe medication administration and hands-on care.
• Collaborate with physicians and providers for timely, coordinated care decisions.
• Educate patients and families to support informed care decisions.
• Document accurately in the EMR to ensure continuity of care.
• Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and care transitions.
• Contribute to a collaborative team culture and long-term career growth.
