Job summary

HonorHealth Deer Valley Medical Center is seeking a qualified RN for the Observation Unit-1P2 on the night shift. The RN will assess patients, administer medications, manage IVs, and contribute to care planning in a fast-paced hospital unit.

Responsibilities include patient education, collaboration with a multidisciplinary team, and ongoing evaluation of care plans to improve outcomes. Arizona RN license and BLS are required, BSN preferred and encouraged within 60 months.

Qualifications

• Associates or Diploma in Nursing; BSN preferred and to be completed within specified timeframes.
• Arizona RN license required; current license or compact state licensure upon hire.
• BLS certification and unit-specific certifications as required.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care guided by ANA standards and ethics.
• Record medical history, administer medications, IVs, and therapies.
• Develop and revise patient care plans; ensure safe, effective care.
• Educate patients and families on post-treatment care and home management.
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to optimize outcomes.
• Mentor new staff and maintain current knowledge in nursing practice.
