Methodist Mansfield Medical Center is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to provide comprehensive respiratory care for adults and neonates. You will perform ABG, PFT, ventilation support, and oxygen therapy under supervision, following department policies.

The role requires BLS, ACLS, NRP/PALS within 1 year, Texas license, NBRC registration, and at least 6 months of experience. The position offers a night shift (7 PM–7 AM) with a 12x3 schedule.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Care Program.
• Current Basic Life Support certification required.
• Current Advanced Cardio Life Support certification required.
• NRP, Pediatric Advanced Life Support — must obtain within 1 year of hire.
• Currently licensed in good standing as a Respiratory Care Practitioner by Texas Medical Board.
• Registered by the National Board for Respiratory Care.
• At least 6 months respiratory care experience.

Responsabilités

• Performs respiratory therapeutics including oxygen administration, weaning, aerosol and humidity therapy, IPPB, Incentive Spirometry, airway maintenance, bronchial hygiene, chest physiotherapy, CPR and mechanical ventilation.
• Performs and reports prescribed cardiopulmonary diagnostic procedures including arterial blood gas analysis, pulse oximetry, pulmonary function studies, and electrocardiograms.
• Prepares a treatment evaluation including bedside respiratory assessment, patient interview and review of medical records.
• Utilizes critical thinking to determine appropriate actions.
• Interprets CXR, ABG, and PFT data when reviewing patient information.
• Assembles, checks, operates and troubleshoots cardiopulmonary equipment (airways, ventilators, oxygen devices, gas analyzers).
• Participates in infection control, safety and quality assurance tasks.
• Performs cleaning and maintenance of cardiopulmonary equipment and work areas.
• Follows scripted patient communication to improve satisfaction.
• Performs other duties as required.

Formation

Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Care Program

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification

NRP and Pediatric Advanced Life Support — within 1 year of hire

Texas license as Respiratory Care Practitioner

Registered by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC)

6 months of respiratory care experience
