Job summary

Methodist Mansfield Medical Center in Mansfield, Texas, is hiring a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for night shifts. You will perform ABG, PFTs and various ventilator support, and care for adults and neonates under supervision, with a focus on respiratory assessment and therapy per department policies.

Requirements include graduation from an accredited Respiratory Care Program, BLS and ACLS, NRP/PALS within 1 year, Texas RCP license, NBRC registration and at least 6 months of experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Care Program.
• Current Basic Life Support certification required.
• Current Advanced Cardio Life Support certification required.
• NRP/PALS must be obtained within 1 year of hire.
• Licensed as Respiratory Care Practitioner in Texas.
• Registered by the National Board for Respiratory Care.
• At least 6 months of respiratory care experience.

Responsibilities

• Performs respiratory therapeutics including oxygen, aerosols, IPPB, humidification and ventilator support.
• Performs and reports arterial blood gas analysis, pulse oximetry and pulmonary function studies.
• Interprets CXR, ABG and PFT data to guide care decisions.
• Assembles, operates and troubleshoots cardiopulmonary equipment.
• Maintains infection control, safety and quality assurance.
• Performs patient assessments and documents care in medical records.
