Job summary

Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center (EMRMC) in Kentucky is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist for a full-time night shift (7P–7A). The role includes direct patient care, leadership responsibilities as Charge Therapist when designated, and adherence to the Kentucky Board of Respiratory Care scope of practice.

Required is an Associate Degree in Respiratory Care or equivalent NBRC certification, a valid Kentucky RCP license, and BLS. NBRC, PALS/ACLS are preferred within one year.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Respiratory Care from an approved program.
• NBRC Certification Exam completed successfully.
• Current Kentucky Respiratory Care Practitioner license.
• BLS certification required; NRP/PALS/ACLS preferred within 1 year.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to standards of respiratory therapy practice, policies and licensing laws.
• Maintains annual competencies and functions independently in respiratory care.
• Prioritizes patient care needs and delivers safe, quality care.
• Collaborates with health team to manage patient care and outcomes.
• Participates in continuous quality improvement and evidence-based practice.
