Qualifications

• Graduation from an approved Associate Degree Program in Respiratory Care or an approved Certification Program.
• Successful completion of NBRC Certification Exam.
• Current Respiratory Care Practitioner license in Kentucky (KBRC).
• BLS certification; NRP/NALS/PALS/ACLS preferred within one year of employment.

Responsibilities

• Make clinical decisions in line with respiratory therapy standards and departmental policies.
• Provide direct patient care and collaborate with the health-care team to ensure safe, quality outcomes.
• Mentor junior staff and participate in continuous quality improvement activities.
• Support evidence-based practice and professional development.
