Job summary

Baptist Health in Kentucky is seeking a Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for full-time third shift to deliver respiratory care per provider orders and established standards. You will respond to emergencies, manage airway and ventilatory support, and perform diagnostic tests.

The role requires an Associate degree in Respiratory Care, RRT certification, and BLS within 90 days. NRP within six months for neonatal care is expected where applicable.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Respiratory Care is required.
• RRT credential is required.
• BLS certification required within 90 days of hire.
• NRP certification required within six months of hire for neonatal population.
• No prior experience required; healthcare, customer service, or limited permit/student respiratory license experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory care and therapeutic treatments per provider orders and established standards of care.
• Respond to emergency and critical care situations (Code Blue, Rapid Response).
• Manage airway and ventilatory support (invasive and non-invasive).
• Perform diagnostic tests including pulmonary function testing and blood gas analysis; bronchoscopy when trained.
• Document care, communicate for continuity of care, and support quality and safety initiatives.
