Job summary

Wellstar Health System in Georgia is seeking a Night Rapid Response Team (RRT) Nurse to join our centralized critical care team. You will coordinate rapid assessments, implement interventions, document outcomes, and support staff during emergencies.

As a registered nurse, you will collaborate with physicians and nursing colleagues to ensure timely, age-appropriate care, maintain data on RRT activity, and contribute to practice guidelines while upholding patient-centered, compassionate service.

Qualifications

• Associates Nursing or Diploma (Nurse) Nursing or Bachelors Nursing-Preferred.
• Current American Heart Association (AHA) ACLS and BLS credentials required or comparable.
• Minimum 2 years of nursing practice in a critical care environment.

Responsibilities

• Responds to RRT calls.
• Coordinates patient care during events including assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation of outcomes.
• Communicates with medical staff, nursing staff, other disciplines and departments as required to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Intervenes in patient crisis to promote quality patient care.
• Documents assessment, interventions, and outcomes in patient medical record; utilizes SBAR documentation.
• Develops and implements clinical practice guidelines for RRT.
• Monitors patient outcomes and conducts follow-up as required.
• Educates patient, families or support system as required and documents.
• Educates staff pertaining to RRT.
