Job summary

Wellstar Health System in Georgia is seeking an experienced Rapid Response Team (RRT) Nurse to coordinate assessment, prioritization and rapid interventions for acutely ill patients during night shifts. You will document care, communicate with physicians and staff, and ensure age-appropriate, culturally aware patient care.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years in a critical care environment, current ACLS/BLS credentials, and holds an RN license in Georgia.

Qualifications

• RN licensure in Georgia (GA)
• ACLS/BLS certifications required or equivalent
• Minimum 2 years in a critical care setting
• Current AHA ACLS and BLS credentials at hire preferred

Responsibilities

• Responds to RRT calls.
• Coordinates patient care during events including assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation of outcomes.
• Communicates with medical staff, nursing staff, other disciplines and departments as required to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Intervenes in patient crisis to promote quality patient care.
• Documents assessment, interventions, and outcomes in patient medical record; utilizes SBAR documentation.
• Develops and implements clinical practice guidelines for RRT.
• Monitors patient outcomes and conducts follow-up as required.
• Educates patient, families or support system as required and documents.
• Educates staff pertaining to RRT.
