Job summary

Ochsner Health System is seeking a Radiologic Technologist at Jefferson Hwy to perform routine radiographic procedures and mentor junior staff. This full-time night position requires a completed radiologic technology program and ARRT certification or eligibility.

The role supports a 7 on/7 off schedule with on-call flexibility and includes a sign-on bonus. Strong patient communication and accuracy are essential.

Qualifications

• Required - Completion of an approved radiologic technology program.
• Required - ARRT certification or registry eligibility; license as applicable.
• Required - Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Preferred - Radiologic technology experience.

Responsibilities

• Verifies physician order and procedure to ensure accuracy.
• Uses radiology information systems to facilitate care.
• Explains procedure to patient to ensure understanding.
• Independently operates imaging equipment according to protocol.
• Reviews patient images for diagnostic quality.
• Performs quality control procedures in accordance with standards.
• Assists in departmental operations (inventory, staff schedules, equipment maintenance).
• Adapts communication to patient population and obtains consent.
• Performs other related duties as required.
