Job summary

Ochsner Health System is seeking a Radiology Tech to work weekends and nights at our New Orleans facilities. You will perform routine radiographic procedures, verify orders, and ensure patient safety while mentoring junior staff.

Required: radiologic technology program completion, ARRT certification or registry-eligibility with 90 days, state license, and BLS. Strong communication and flexibility are essential. Experience with RIS/PACS is a plus and may travel between facilities as needed.

Qualifications

• Completion of an approved radiologic technology program.
• ARRT registry eligibility or active ARRT registration within 90 days.
• Current unrestricted license in the state of practice.
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
• Preferred radiologic technology experience.

Responsibilities

• Verifies physician order and procedure accuracy.
• Operates radiology equipment to complete imaging procedures.
• Explains procedures to patients to ensure understanding.
• Reviews images for diagnostic quality.
• Assists in departmental operations and scheduling.
• Adheres to safety and regulatory standards.
• Adapts to patient privacy and communication needs.
• Travel between facilities as required.
