Job summary

Qualifications

• Completion of an approved radiologic technology program.
• ARRT registration or registry eligibility within 90 days of employment; temporary state license required.
• Current unrestricted license in the state of practice and BLS certification from the American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Verifies physician order and procedure to ensure accuracy.
• Uses radiology information systems to facilitate care.
• Explains procedure to patient to ensure understanding.
• Independently operates equipment to complete imaging procedure according to protocol.
• Reviews patient images prior to transmission to ensure diagnostic quality.
• Completes timely quality control procedures per regulatory standards.
• Assists in departmental operations (inventory, staff schedules, equipment maintenance).
• Adapts communication to respect patient privacy and diverse populations.
• Performs other related duties as required.
