Job summary

Ochsner Health System in New Orleans is seeking a Radiologic Technologist for the OMC New Orleans Jefferson Hwy location. This full-time, night shift role requires performing routine radiographic procedures and mentoring junior staff, with a sign-on bonus available.

Applicants must complete an approved radiologic technology program, hold ARRT certification or be registry eligible within 90 days, and maintain an unrestricted state license and BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in computers, software, and web-based applications.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule (e.g. 24/7, weekends, holidays, on-call) and travel between facilities.

Responsibilities

• Verify physician order and procedure to ensure accuracy.
• Use radiology information systems to facilitate care.
• Explain procedure to patient to ensure understanding.
• Independently operate imaging equipment and procedures per protocol.
• Review images for diagnostic quality before transmission.
• Support department operations (inventory, staff scheduling, equipment maintenance).
