Job summary

Ochsner Health in Metairie, LA, is seeking a Radiologic Technologist for a full-time day shift (8a–5p) with sign-on bonus. You will perform radiographic procedures, verify orders, and mentor junior staff while ensuring patient safety and quality imaging.

The role requires an approved radiologic technology program completion, ARRT eligibility or certification, and BLS. Strong teamwork and flexible scheduling are valued at our comprehensive health system.

Qualifications

• Required - Completion of an approved radiologic technology program.
• Current ARRT registry eligibility or ARRT registry, within 90 days of employment.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Responsibilities

• Verifies physician order and procedure to ensure accuracy.
• Uses radiology information systems to facilitate care.
• Explains procedure to patient to ensure understanding.
• Operates imaging equipment according to protocol.
• Reviews patient images for diagnostic quality.
• Assists in departmental operations and staffing.
