Job summary

Ochsner Health is seeking a Radiologic Technologist for the OMC New Orleans Jefferson Hwy Surgery Team. This full-time, weekday position supports diagnostic imaging procedures and patient care across facilities.

You will perform radiographic exams, uphold safety protocols, mentor staff, and collaborate with teams. Requires ARRT certification, BLS, and a state license; preferred radiologic technology experience; flexibility for on-site schedule 24/7 availability may be needed.

Qualifications

• Completion of an approved radiologic technology program.
• ARRT registration or registry-eligible with 90 days of employment and temporary state license.
• Current unrestricted license in the state of practice and BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Verifies physician order and procedure to ensure accuracy.
• Operates radiographic equipment according to protocol.
• Explains procedure to patient to ensure understanding.
• Reviews patient images to ensure diagnostic quality.
• Completes quality control procedures and regulatory compliance.
• Assists in department operations and staff scheduling.
