Qualifications

• ACEN/CCNE/NLN CNEA accredited rotation OR Ohio STNA/CNA eligibility.
• One year patient care in the last three years OR completion of the Patient Care Assistant training program.

Responsibilities

• Plan of Care: provide approved care to assigned patients under RN supervision.
• Supervise and assist with activities of daily living and patient transport.
• Assist with 1 on 1 patient observation as needed and de-escalation as required.
• Communicate patient status and changes in shift handoff; document in medical record.
• Assist orientation and training of new employees.

Education

ACEN/CCNE/NLN CNEA accredited clinical rotation

Ohio STNA registry or Ohio CNA reciprocity

Ohio or National EMS Registry

1 year patient care experience (last 3 years)

Patient Care Assistant training program (post-hire)
