Job summary

Banner Desert Medical Center in Mesa, Arizona is seeking a Patient Care Assistant to join our Progressive Care Unit (PCU). The role involves providing routine patient care, collecting data, and supporting nursing staff on the 36-bed PCU.

Night shift opportunities are available as full-time or part-time, with weekend and holiday rotations and an 18% night differential. Prior PCA/LNA/CNA experience is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Current BLS certification required.
• Current CNA/LNA license in state of practice required for new hires.
• At least 1 year medical clerical experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of medical terminology and computer literacy required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living and mobility.
• Collect vital signs, input/output data, and document in medical records.
• Communicate patient status to care team for continuity of care.
• Assist with procedures and use of equipment under supervision.
• Perform receptionist/clerical duties to support department operations.
• Maintain patient records and manage supply inventory.
