Job summary

Banner University Medical Center in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a Certified Patient Care Assistant to join our Surgical PCU Unit. This full-time night shift position offers the opportunity to provide routine patient care and contribute to the patient plan of care.

You will collect patient data, document in the medical records, and support unit operations while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team. CNAs with BLS certification are encouraged to apply; weekend work and shift differentials apply.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Current BLS certification required.
• Current CNA license in state of practice required for new hires and transfers.
• 1 year of medical clerical experience preferred.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and computer literacy skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living and hygiene, mobility, and nutrition as needed.
• Collect patient data and vital signs, document in chart, transport specimens.
• Recognize changes and communicate with licensed professionals; maintain continuity of care.
• Perform delegated procedures (blood draws, catheter removal, EKG) under supervision.
• Provide receptionist/clerical support and maintain patient records.
• Maintain supplies and assist with unit turnover and equipment tracking.
