Job summary

Banner Desert Medical Center in Mesa, AZ is seeking a Patient Care Assistant for the new Progressive Care Unit (PCU). This full-time role provides routine patient care, assists with daily living activities, and documents in the medical record on the 6W unit during night shifts (6pm–6:30am) with weekend/holiday rotations.

Previous PCA/LNA/CNA experience is preferred; a current BLS certification and CNA licensure are required for new hires, with a $3,000 sign-on incentive for eligible CNAs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent working knowledge.
• Current BLS certification required.
• Current CNA/LNA in practice required for new hires; Tucson market CNA requirement noted for that area.

Responsibilities

• Provide routine patient care to promote comfort and participate in the patient care plan.
• Collect vital signs, input/output, and document in electronic records.
• Assist with activities of daily living and mobility, including nutrition support.
• Transcribe and process physician orders under supervision and ensure proper charting.
• Maintain supplies and assist with unit operations and communications.
