Job summary

Banner Health in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a Certified Patient Care Assistant for Pre Admission Testing. This full-time (36 hours/week) day-shift role supports preoperative and postoperative care in a fast-paced unit. Candidates must have a CNA in practice, BLS, and healthcare clerical experience.

A $3,000 sign-on bonus is available for certified external PCA candidates. Responsibilities include ADL assistance, vital signs, data collection, patient records, and coordination with licensed staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Current BLS certification required.
• Current CNA in state of practice required for new hires.
• 1 year medical clerical or relevant experience preferred.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living and mobility.
• Collect vital signs and basic measurements; document in medical records.
• Report abnormalities to licensed professional and communicate patient status.
• Assist with procedures and operate equipment under supervision.
• Perform receptionist/clerical duties to support department operations.
• Maintain complete patient records including admission, transfer, and discharge data.
• Manage supplies and ordering; ensure equipment is tracked and functional.
• Assist with patient transport and OR turnover when assigned.
• Work in a fast-paced environment with focus on customer service.
