Job summary

Banner Health Corporation is seeking a Certified Patient Care Assistant to join our Medical PCU unit in Phoenix, AZ. This full-time night position provides routine patient care in a fast-paced cardiac-focused unit, with opportunities to learn about heart health and complex patient needs.

The role includes vital sign collection, documentation in the EMR, and supportive duties for a wide range of patients, with shift-specific differentials and a rotating weekend/holiday schedule.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Current BLS certification required.
• Current CNA license in state of practice required for new hires.
• 1 year of medical clerical experience preferred.
• Strong organizational, human relations, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living to promote patient health.
• Record vital signs and document in medical records.
• Communicate patient status and needs to the care team.
• Perform tasks under supervision, including basic nursing duties.
• Provide receptionist/clerical support and coordinate with the team.
• Maintain patient records and supply inventories.
• Assist with transportation of specimens and patients.
