Job summary

Banner Health is seeking a Patient Care Assistant for the Progressive Care Unit in Mesa, AZ. This role supports daily patient care, documentation, and unit operations in a fast-paced hospital setting.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED, current BLS, and CNA certification in the state of practice. Experience is preferred but not required; weekend/holiday rotations apply with a night differential where applicable.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED or equivalent working knowledge.
• Current BLS certification is required.
• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in state of practice is required for new hires and transfers.

Responsibilities

• Provides assistance in activities of daily living and helps promote patient health.
• Collects vital signs, input/output, and other data per policy; assists in transporting specimens.
• Reports abnormalities to a licensed professional and communicates status to caregivers.
• Performs delegated procedures and assists with unit procedures under supervision.
• Performs receptionist/clerical duties to support department operations.
