Job summary

OhioHealth Grove City Methodist Hospital is seeking a Service Excellence Ambassador for nights. This part-time role involves greeting and guiding visitors, answering calls, and facilitating communication between patients, families, and hospital staff.

The ambassador will advocate for patients, address concerns, and help expedite admissions while maintaining confidentiality. The schedule is 10:00 PM to 6:30 AM, 2 shifts weekly with rotating days, including every other weekend.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree (Required).
• Knowledge of conflict resolution, interpersonal communication, win-win negotiations, medical terminology, diversity training and working in hospital settings.
• Minimum two years of experience in a consumer advocacy or service role.

Responsibilities

• Greet, direct, and escort visitors, families and patients; provide directions and assist with wheelchairs as needed.
• Answer multi-line phone calls and transfer to appropriate locations.
• Communicate between patient, family and hospital staff to support care and confidentiality.
• Investigate and escalate delays in admission or services as needed.
• Respond to special needs and ensure those needs are met.
• Oversee information desks and lobby areas for cleanliness and order.
